Even in the face of great challenges, I've found strength in serving others. It's my inspiration to work hard every day to create great experiences for my clients and provide for my family.
Over the last few years, I've hit every goal I’ve set for myself in real estate, consistently achieving my best years in the industry. From reaching Chairman's Club status annually to increasing the number of people I help each year, my career in real estate has grown into something I am incredibly proud of. The challenges faced on the path to getting here laid the foundation for this success.
When I first became a real estate agent in 2003, jobs seemed to fall in my lap, and I was making a sale every month. By the time 2008 rolled around, I was engaged and planning an extravagant wedding. After my husband and I returned from our honeymoon, I only sold two houses for the remainder of the year. Then I discovered I was pregnant. I was ecstatic, but the uncertainties of the market loomed over the excitement.
My business had thrived from the beginning, so I didn’t know how to navigate the market during difficult times. I had seen the highs and lows of real estate when I was a child. I looked up to my mom a lot when I was a kid. She has been in the industry for 35 years and was one of the most recognized lenders in our area. The tumultuous path ahead was intimidating, but after having my first son, I was more determined than ever to find a way forward.
Fortunately, I have an amazing husband, Ryan, who always has faith in me and is committed to supporting me through anything. I felt a renewed motivation, wanting to provide for our family and create a great life for us. Five days after I got out of the hospital with my second child, I asked my mom to drive me to an open house. I had this fire inside to be the best I could be, and nothing was slowing me down.
From then on, I focused on building relationships with people and identifying ways I could help them. Something as simple as a conversation at the tennis courts could lead to a new client. Additionally, I focused on educating myself and staying current on market trends to ensure whatever my clients need, I have the knowledge and resources to help!
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges, but my experiences from the past became a catalyst for further transformation within my profession. The market dynamics shifted dramatically, requiring adaptability and innovation. During this time, I delved deeper into serving my clients, offering comprehensive support beyond traditional real estate transactions. From writing winning offers in bidding wars to assisting clients with out-of-state relocations and coordinating every aspect of their moves, I embraced the role of a trusted advisor, navigating them through uncertain times.
It was during this fast-paced market that I lost my father. In the midst of my deepest grief, I found solace and purpose in serving others. My father’s entire life has been defined by service. Real estate became a means through which I could honor my father's legacy by embodying his spirit of service, constantly striving to assist others through the highs and lows of life.
There is so much to be grateful for, and it has inspired me to focus on giving back. Whether sponsoring local sports leagues, being a member of the National Charity League with my daughter or volunteering at community events, my husband and I, our three kids, Davis, Ella and Fletcher, and my mom, Joyce, are dedicated to making a meaningful impact in our neighborhood. This not only enriches our lives but also strengthens my connection to the area I serve!
My journey has been defined by growth, resilience and a commitment to service. Through every trial and triumph, I have emerged stronger and more determined than ever to make a meaningful impact, both in my profession and in my community. I hope to create a legacy that lives on, spreading these values for years to come!
With gratitude,
